Summer of music takes place across six San Francisco neighborhoods, including The Mission (Valencia), The Castro, Haight Street, Inner Sunset (Irving St.), Marina / Cow Hollow, and North Beach.
The Summer of Music series is seeking talented performers for its six neighborhood shows across San Francisco. The performances will be small-footprint, stripped-down, preferably unamplified acoustic solo, duo, or trio configurations. You can find more information about artist requirements on the artist application page.
We are also looking for businesses in each of the six neighborhoods who would like to host our performances outside of their locations. If you are in one of the six participating neighborhoods, you can fill out the business application. (coming soon!)
Summer of Music will take place every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 2-5pm starting June 15 running through September across six San Francisco neighborhoods, including The Mission (Valencia), The Castro, Haight Street, Inner Sunset (Irving St.), Marina / Cow Hollow, and North Beach. Performances will take place outside of local businesses in designated neighborhood footprints. Make sure to check out these neighborhoods each Saturday and Sunday throughout the series to watch some incredible artists perform!
With Summer of Music, we aim to invigorate our communities, promote economic growth, and support local artists and businesses that have been adversely affected in recent years. It's a chance to come together as a community and celebrate the heart of San Francisco - its cultural legacy in music.
The Summer of Music series, sponsored by Civic Joy Fund and produced in partnership with Noise Pop, brings local musicians to perform outside of local businesses across different neighborhoods throughout San Francisco all summer long.
